Max has not been the leading driver since his car was clipped.

I'm no Hamilton fan either. He's been humbled by a slower car. But I expect this to change next year.

Used to be neutral on Max until he threw his lot in with the racists Marko and Piquet, which makes him guilty by association...

Whether one likes the guy or not should have no impact on interpretation of the rules. I guess that's part of the problem with a thread like this - there's way too much emotion clouding what should be rational discussion.

On the contrary, it's removed the emotion and highlighted a rule that's being exploited to the point where it's potentially dangerous, where I would have overlooked it before...

Don’t know what happened with Piastri for qualifying - should’ve pitted him with enough time to turn his car around with new softs. Sainz is flying around this track. I think Ferrari is going to be the team to beat. Nice starting grid so should make for an exciting start and first couple laps.
 
Yeah good grid, great drive from Sainz. McLaren was sleeping for some reason. For a guy who had his lap time deleted in Q3, Max did very well to get P2. Today's race has a good setup.
