The common denominator is that Max is the leading driver of his generation and so the other guys push hard against him. It was the same with Hamilton, Schumacher, Senna, Prost and every other driver in their prime. Last time Max and Lewis had their tussle Lewis knew that colliding with Max was a win for him (see Silverstone), just like Max knows colliding with Norris takes him closer to a 4th title.
Max has not been the leading driver since his car was clipped.

I'm no Hamilton fan either. He's been humbled by a slower car. But I expect this to change next year.

Used to be neutral on Max until he threw his lot in with the racists Marko and Piquet, which makes him guilty by association...

Whether one likes the guy or not should have no impact on interpretation of the rules. I guess that's part of the problem with a thread like this - there's way too much emotion clouding what should be rational discussion.

On the contrary, it's removed the emotion and highlighted a rule that's being exploited to the point where it's potentially dangerous, where I would have overlooked it before...

Max is very quickly trying to plug the hole he dug this past weekend...

I think he's going to find he has drawn a little too much attention this time around and the rules are going to be tightened... not the first time for him... let's see.
Of course he's quick to forget he was the first one to open his mouth about the rules when Lando passed him lol.
Yep….

“The FIA emphasised in the meeting the importance of being seen to be consistent in its decision-making, but drivers countered that there was no point being consistent if the wrong decisions were being made.”

LOL
Drivers: you’re making bad decisions!
FIA: we’re at least consistent!

The FIA under Mohammed has been terrible.

Who is this you? Grow the heck up. Nothing about his tenure has put the FIA in better standing than it was before his arrival, it’s gone downhill.

Someone tell the DTS Ferrari moron fan that prior to Mohammed it was Jean Todt who was French.

There have only been two Brits out of thirteen people in that post in 120 years…

Don’t know what happened with Piastri for qualifying - should’ve pitted him with enough time to turn his car around with new softs. Sainz is flying around this track. I think Ferrari is going to be the team to beat. Nice starting grid so should make for an exciting start and first couple laps.

Yeah good grid, great drive from Sainz. McLaren was sleeping for some reason. For a guy who had his lap time deleted in Q3, Max did very well to get P2. Today's race has a good setup.
