Neither Sky nor DSTV have updated the TV Schedules.
I would imagine the build up will be from noon and 16:00 respectively, or possibly even an hour before.

I can’t get over the fact that there’s no official rule about starting grid classification in the event that qualifying was not able to be run. They’re amending 2025 rules for that, but nada for now. For all the rules they do have…

Autosport has learned that attention has shifted to a trick that Red Bull suspects has been used by several of its rivals – believed to include McLaren – to help cool tyres during races.

the FIA has been alerted to the concerns about the activity, and its head of single-seater matters Nikolas Tombazis has been in dialogue with Pirelli and teams at the Brazilian GP to discuss the matter.

The FIA scrutineering report from the sprint race also confirmed that tyres were inspected, and given the all clear. It said: "The tyres used by all drivers during the Sprint today have been checked."

Would be interesting to know how this would work though. I'd expect nothing less from an F1 team to come up with something like this 😀

If there is nothing in the rules to prevent teams from adding water but there is a to rule prevent them removing it then RB is probably probably just "Testing the Water" Pun Intended with the FIA to see if it is legal.
In which case I think they have probably tried it out, found that it works, but as it is end of season and they don't have time to catch up they want it banned for the last couple of races.

What makes you think there's no rule?

Every weather station / report are predicting non stop rain all day in São Paulo today.
So if it actually goes ahead both sessions will have to be run in the wet with medium rainfall.

This could be a long day.......

Oh for sure, Red Bull were the first to try it before that was closed down apparently. Trying to find an article that covers the details though...

On what they're proposing in new regs -

It is probably easiest to use the drivers championship classification in the future as recommended.

However, I'd probably be happier if it were based on the cumulative average driver position result of qualifying itself. So add up each drivers qualifying position result and divide by number of sessions they participated in and order by lowest to highest. That way new entrants aren't prejudiced.

I think the event of quali being washed out today I propose that the grid be decided by age in reverse order.
that way the youngsters gain an advantage and we would have Alonso and Hamilton coming up through the field in a wet race. :D
