there was the Mclaren from I think 1999 that had the extra brake pedal in the car.
so there was a normal one that applied pressure to all 4 wheels.
and then there was an additioinal pedal that would only apply the breakes to one side of the car. i believe they set it up based on the track, more left turns = left side more right turns = right side.

had to have been 1999. culthard and Hakkinen, with Hjakkinen winning it. because 1998 was Villenuve and 2000 was Shumacher.


in case anyone was wondering why that rule for acemetrical braking was added.

very similar to the 2008 Mclaren that had the weird air ducts that the driver could put his hand over inside the cockpit that reduced drag on the straights with some clever system of ducts

I am 99% sure I learned about both of these from the Drive 61 Youtube channel.

Interesting, so only the magenta bit was added? Maybe I'm misunderstanding but the black part of 11.1.2 seems to say something very similar, but perhaps it's specifically referring to individual discs rather than the braking across the axle. Silly oversight if it was intended to mean that to start with. Maybe I'm over simplifying it.
 
Mclaren or Max winning still means orange wins. so I will be right either way.

Ideally I want a Ferrari to win. but what would be best for a competitive season is Lando taking the win

Would be best to not favour either. Let them race as long as they don’t take each other out. Whoever qualifies best gets preference until they’re passed on track legitimately.

To an extent I agree, but I also disagree to an extent... Where I do agree that this should be the norm for all teams until a lead in the championship is established,
In my opinion ( which counts for jacka$$ ) is who is leading in the championship - between the teammates, should be No.1
If OP had been leading, he by rightly so should be 1... But he ain't - LN is 32 ahead ( should be 39 ) so he should be 1

There was talk of the team having some meeting of some sorts during the break to sort out the #1, hopefully is done & dusted

Anyways, enough of this, just glad Maccas are init for the fight again - "its been several years" meme comes to mind...
