He's now the GOAT. Max is relegated to the likes of Hamilton, Alonso, Schumacher and Senna ........ according some on here ;)

He also suddenly went from only being able to win with a safety car, to having the fastest car.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
 
Driver of the day was Lando.
he drove a race that was something exceptional.

yes Charles drove a very good race, and if the gap lando had was under a second, and Lando did not get the fastest Lap then Charles would still not get Driver of the day.
Carlos however made amazing overtakes and considering how much less track time he had over the weekend than Charles I think he would deserve it more than Charles.
LH is also in wiht a shot, he did make the most on track overtakes. from 14th to 8th then he pitted went back down to 15th, and passed on track to get back to 10th, only then did the others start pitting and he gained 2 spots to 8th from pits.

but my vote went to Lando because he was the best driver of the day
 
Charles went from 6th to 3rd in a Ferrari that struggled the whole weekend and kept Piastri in the fastest car behind him. Sainz and Hamilton only passed slow drivers in slow cars.
Lando had the fastest car by a mile and botched the start. So what did he actually do? Drive past one car with DRS on the straight with the fastest car?

HEHE you bunch of DTS fans are amazing. You never gave Max any credit and just always said he has the fastest car. Now that your hero wins you cant take it when someone else claim the same story?
But there is one difference. Max not only won a bunch of races when he did not have the fastest car. He even won a championship not having the fastest car.
Lando took 10 races with the fastest car to actually get 1 real win.

Ah yes... Lando now has the fastest car, which means Max no longer has the fastest car, I can see the penny has finally dropped with you.

Crazy how that's the case. I guess most of of it happened at the rear of the field. The most exciting part was the visuals when that Haas (Magnussen?) got overtaken by 4-5 cars :D

Race director was sleeping too in this race IIRC. So many overtakes took place in the PiP
