The guy is taking this so personally . He said "it's not because I'm British, but" and then proceeded to get super emotional (a sneeze away from crying on screen) about McLaren not favouring Lando/driver with the best chance of winning.

Personally - the team shouldn't interfere with the drivers championship. Pull team rules for constructors, but leave the drivers championship to the drivers, else it's just an extension of the constructors anyway.

Rules should be simple - you are free to race as long as the team comes first.

Based on how the season has unfolded my view is let them race. I'd be more sympathetic if it was a much closer fight.

The argument being made by many on X/Twitter is that if Lando didn't back out of the Piastri move it would've been a double DNF. I really don't agree with that but Lando has a huge online support base demanding they support Lando as #1.

Have you noticed its always someone else's fault, never Lando. Its either Max or now the last few races Piastri. Whoever challenge Lando next it will be that guy's fault. Anything else it will be McLaren's fault.
Same as its been with Hamilton for years. Hell we even heard Merc is sabotaging him this year.
Same old same old British commentators/Media and supporters AKA British mafia.

Not really. Neither McLaren drivers in this instance were technically at fault.

A winner? it's the sort of pass that shows that you not a team player. He cost the team a 1-2 today. Other teams and drivers are going to take note of this. ATM, he is costing Lando a chance at the WDC.

It's a schitshow from all sides. He may have cost the team a 1-2, but the team cost themselves a 1-3.

Lando also seems to want the win less than Oscar. He thinks that because he's ahead in the constructors, the points are owed to him. No hunger at all.

I've never seen a team become so good so quickly, and then trying their best to lose. They're the Proteas of F1 at the moment...

Except Lando had to hand over to Oscar not to long ago. Team orders are definitely a part of the team. The question isn’t so much about Lando, it’s about whether Macca lose the DWC this year.

lol. wtf. If lando can’t beat his own team mate or any of the field on the first lap starting on pole he doesn’t deserve to be champ. That pass was on the outside and perfectly clean. And the team lost a 1-2 due to better a Ferrari strat with them doing a 1 stop.
