It doesn't make sense to let some drivers finish their laps and not others. Surely pull the red asap and let everyone go again at the restart

Makes more sense than to let 5 drivers unlap themselves and restart the race a lap earlier(TM)

Because the mechanics can easily do a full car rebuild in a few hours, right?

Better chance to replace the PU components than rebuild some of the wrecks gathering on the flatbeds around the track.

I won't be surprised if there are a couple who don't start, or start from pitlane.

Medical car deployment requires red flag. 18G triggers a medical car recovery. It would make sense perhaps it's a linked system hence my question.

I'm guessing there'll be some clarification coming in the next few days due to the public hyper-awareness. I'd bet G-force triggers, car damage, approaching traffic etc plays a role.
