Bro he was the Williams Academy driver in F2. When Williams needed a replacement driver Colapinto was the guy next in line.

And he seized that opportunity with both hands.

That's literally all you need to know about Franco Colapinto. No need to go on a multi-page rant about it. Dude probably won't even be on the grid next year and can hone his skills further in F2. Meaning, all this panic/rant thinking you are doing could be for naught at the end of the day. Colapinto is literally just keeping Sainz's seat warm.

So chill, drink a beer or smoke a joint or whatever and enjoy the last 3 races of the season.

No idea how the guy doesn't get it.

He is a Williams junior. No different to Red Bull putting Lawson in their car. Basically zero admin in getting him into the car, unlike trying to go for Mick Schumacher or someone else that was attached to another team or would have required negotiating. Plus the added bonus of evaluating what they have and at the very least he has proven that the car isn't that terrible, Sargeant was just not up to it.

This. Williams have traditionally pulled drivers from the Silver Arrows but had no need to because they have a qualifying driver in Colapinto.
 
So we're still discussing the Copalinto seat even though it's been established that he was the only logical (and best) choice for the seat!?

Damn man, some dudes are slower than Sargeant. It's like if Sargeant and Stroll had a baby who licked broken windows for his entire childhood whilst watching DTS.

How F1 works: Someone wants a driver, someone makes an offer, driver accepts or rejects.
That's all there is to it. There's no magic index of who deserves anything or not based on wiki stats. You're chasing a fantasy. If stats were something to go by, Max would have been fired ages ago.
 
No drama in P1. Merc looking really quick on mediums.

When the broadcast finished the F1 Kids broadcast for Brazil started playing automatically so I watched the start of the race. These kid commentators handled the confusion and events around the start and Lando driving off better than the adults did. Very impressive.
