Mercedes v Ferrari: Sky F1 lifts lid on the battle at the front of F1 2017

It's the big question of the 2017 Formula 1 season so far: how have Ferrari managed to catch Mercedes?

Following the reset of aerodynamic rules over the winter, Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton are locked at the head of the Drivers' Championship after the season's opening two rounds, while the two teams are separated by one point in the constructors' chase.

Other than in both races so far this season...

Have you been watching this year?

I have , but the Redbull's and Ferraris seem to have better launch control systems based on previous years starts.

And on the bright side, Fernando has a new PU, so its expiry time should be at least 1 hour, who knows it might even just last the race ;)

With McLarens lack of sponsors he may have to use the same PU in the Indy500 too ..................

You know this years car has almost nothing in common with last years car? Except the colour scheme, perhaps...

Mercs have had much faster starts than Ferrari this year.

Will be missing this race unfortunately, either in a taxi or in Heathrow :(

Watching the F2 race while I wait for the main event. They produced some awesome racing yesterday, hope we are in for a nice race today as well.

Unfortunately the Italian commentator gets too excited and I struggle to understand him, but he does add a lot of emotion to it :)

Nah, too much of a faff. Is right around check in as well so I'll be stuck in security during most of the race.

Find some free wifi and use cricfree. It works on Android as well, just a pain in the bum to get rid of the ads at the beginning of the stream (much harder than on iOS for some reason).

Great Race :)
Unbelievable strategy
I hope the F1 has such a tense last lap ...
