I do use ACE but I track flash for when ISP's block P2P traffic or a streaming newbie needs a link in a hurry thanks to Multichoice.
So not quite as sad as people who gloat rather than help out.
 
My 2c on the Hamilton/Vettel incident.

Hamilton wasn't accelerating and breaking. When they show Hamilton's onboard replay, you can here he is just coasting. There's no accelerating. I think Vettel just didn't want to get caught napping again as he did on the first restart when Perez almost nabbed him into turn one. So for the second restart, he was trying to stay as close (as you do) but he just horribly misjudged and proceeded to blame Hamilton for it. The ensuing move was a stupid and reckless act and I think he's lucky to have been only hit with 10sec stop/go.

As for the result, well it was perfect. Stoked for Ricciardo and Stroll. Stroll I think is finally getting to grips with his car. He's come through two of the toughest and tightest courses with aplomb and I think he can be very proud of himself. Unlucky to miss out on second but such is the power of that Merc that he was a sitting duck. He could probably have pushed harder earlier, but he could've ended up in the wall with nothing to show for his afternoon.

Anyway, a great race and far from the snore fest I predicted.

Yeah, ace and sopcast tend to not play terribly nicely with Telkom LTE. Fibre inbound this week though so hopefully the rest of the season will be a bit less painful.

Still, at least my poopy flash feed allowed me to watch the podium and post race.

I'm not a fan of the Baku circuit, but I love the juxtaposition of the one camera angle with the cutting edge F1 cars streaking past the old castle / fort / stone building.

Vettel: Hamilton deserved penalty for Azerbaijan GP incident

Sebastian Vettel believes Formula 1 title rival Lewis Hamilton should also have been penalised for their incident behind the safety car in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Vettel was given a 10-second stop/go penalty for dangerous driving after side-swiping Hamilton's Mercedes as they prepared for the second restart in the Baku F1 race.

The Ferrari had hit the rear of the Mercedes moments before, which Vettel said was due to Hamilton brake-testing him.

"It was quite obvious. I didn't run into the back of him on purpose," he told Channel 4.

"I damaged my wing, I think he had a little bit of damage as well. Nothing that would have impacted on the race.

"It's just not the way to do it. He's done it a couple of times.

"Afterwards his restart was really good. He surprised me and jumped me, so I don't think it was necessary.

"The problem is with me right behind, getting ready and all the other cars, then there's a chain reaction. He did something similar a couple of years ago in China at a restart. It's just not the way to do it.

"I think it was very clear. In the end, we're racing as men. I don't have a radio to him.

"If I get a penalty then we should both get a penalty."

Vettel declined to answer direct questions on the second contact that occurred when he pulled alongside Hamilton to gesticulate at him.

"We're all grown-ups, we're men," said Vettel.

"Emotions are running high in the car.

"We want to race wheel to wheel, but not when it's [before] the restart."

He denied that the incident would make what has so far been a good-natured championship battle more fractious.

"It's still respectful. I don't have a problem with him," said Vettel.

"I think it's just one action today that was wrong and I think if I got penalised then he should get penalised.

FIA data shows Hamilton didn't brake-test Vettel in Baku clash

The Formula 1 stewards at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix found no evidence in telemetry data of Lewis Hamilton either brake-testing or lifting off unexpectedly in his clash with Sebastian Vettel.

Although Vettel is adamant that he was brake-tested on the exit of Turn 15 as leader Hamilton prepared for the Baku race's second safety-car restart, the FIA's analysis of data from Hamilton's car showed no proof of that.

Vettel then drew alongside Hamilton and made further contact with the Mercedes, for which he was given a 10-second stop/go penalty for "potentially dangerous" driving.

The FIA investigation, conducted during the race, showed that Hamilton had behaved exactly the same in that area of the track at both the controversial restart and the incident-free one before.

With a long run up between the following Turn 16 and the safety car line, Hamilton had to back off to ensure that he did not break the rules by overtaking the safety car before he was allowed.

Vettel remains adamant that Hamilton did not behave in the right way and that he was brake-tested.

"We know the leader dictates the pace but we were exiting the corner," said Vettel.

"He was accelerating then he braked so much that I was braking as soon as I saw, but I couldn't stop in time and ran into the back of him.

"I just think that wasn't necessary."

The FIA's analysis of the second contact concluded that Vettel had turned into Hamilton's Mercedes.

The stewards' statement explained: "The stewards examined video evidence which showed that car #5 drove alongside and then steered into car #44.

"The stewards decide this manoeuvre was deemed potentially dangerous."

Speaking about that moment, Vettel said: "I drove alongside, then we had a little contact but I drove alongside mostly to raise my hand.

"I didn't give him a finger or anything, I just wanted to tell him - because I can't literally talk to him - that that was not right."

Race ban danger

Vettel was also given three penalty points for the incident with Hamilton - which means he now has a total of nine for the past 12 months.

He is now just three points away from a race ban under F1 rules, thanks to three other offences he committed in 2016.

But the two penalty points he got at last year's British GP, for running Felipe Massa off the track, will be wiped away if he does nothing wrong in the next races.

They are due to expire on the Monday following this season's Austrian GP in a fortnight.

Haha, cracker race, great recovery from Baku, really one that will go down in my books.

Awesome drives from all three podium places and for somehow managing to avoid much of the circus.

Big thumbs down from me to Vettel for such unbecoming behaviour, he should have received that 1 race ban there and then.

And a PK to Ocon, FI was having such a promising weekend until his stupid maneuve.

Next to Austria in 2 weeks.
 
What a race to miss! Was stuck following the live commentary, end result is championship paused till the next race, I can live with that.

Denial of what you did, doesnt make it go away you twit. In all the fights Lewis and Nico had, they never acted as blatantly childish as Vettel did
 
Vettel should have been disqualified imo, there is no place for such behavior on the track at all. Can't the FIA take additional action? Even though I know they wouldn't, is it possible?
 
I doubt it will happen. In the past they loved to meddle after the race. The fact that they contemplated making the call after the race says it all - they wanted to discuss the fall out with their fav team.
