I suspect Vettel is partly the reason there isn’t an ultra-competitive team mate like Ricciardo (to ensure there is no chance of a multi 21 situation happening again).

Que? What is the relevance of it in this context? Are we just going to forget how much of a prick Hamilton is when he doesn't win? Anyone remember Monaco a few years ago when his team made a bad call? What about the countless other times?

Ferrari haven't had an ultra-competitive lineup since the Mansell-Prost debacle and it has generally worked out well for them. They have favoured clear #1 and #2 rolls within their team since then. The closest they got to a a 1A and 1B scenario was Raikkonen and Massa in 2007 and 2008.

Rather you than me say it... Not even sure, how they kind of forget these things when it comes to Lewis.
 
Good race, i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well done to Lewis, great drive. Max would have had you in a few laps has it not been for some interfering backmarkers.

Also some nice scraps going in in the midfield.

Vettel can the drivers crown fading away...........
 
It seems that Lewis' bad luck at the moment extends to being held up by backmarkers for a few corners. The two races Merc were meant to k*k off at (Sepang and Singapore), Ferrari did all they could to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Pretty much so... Those 2 races they were much quicker, and if they didn't mess it up, they would have been in a better position right now.

Keep up Numbers, it’s relevant as to why Ferrari don’t have an ultra competitive second driver, as discussed from this post onwards...
