Lance Stroll is spending more time than he would have liked in his civvies this afternoon, ruled out of the afternoon after damaging the Williams with an off this morning. Here’s what he had to say.
“Second run, just getting to grips with the car and kind of no grip and just lost the car,” he said. “I went through the gravel a little spin, drove back to the garage and we broke a little winglet on the front wing, and we only had one. That has been unfortunate and ended our day. It is what it is. Early days. These things happen in testing like this, at the beginning. So we will get back at it tomorrow, keep our head down and keep pushing for there.”

No one else is even close, I had thought RB would have been closer. Even just in laps completed the others have been disappointing.
Bad news for McLaren fans: Vandoorne is now bottom of the charts.
Good news for Renault: Jolyon Palmer has just leapt up to seventh.
Renault now down to 1:24.198. For reference, that's a few tenths faster than Hulkenberg's time from yesterday, although he didn't seem to have a trouble-free day either.

Bottas has just stopped again, so it looks as if his race simulation will be a two-stopper.
He's instantly quick out of the blocks, putting in a 1:22.986.
By our count he's around 20 laps away from completing his simulation.

It's the curse of 29 laps for McLaren so far in testing - that was Alonso's disappointing tally yesterday and Vandoorne has clocked up the same number so far here on Day Two.

And now it's Red Bull and Mercedes on track as Max Verstappen returns after a spell in the garage while the team worked on the RB13.
And that's Red Bull's quickest time of testing so far as Verstappen jumps into third with a 1:22.200. No fireworks yet from the RB13, but things are getting better after a sluggish start.

Make that a third visit to the pits for Valtteri Bottas on this race simulation, despite his times on that last stint being unerringly consistent.
Still, it's not a real race so Mercedes can play it how they like!

The Sauber Formula 1 team has signed GP3 racer Tatiana Calderon as a development driver for the 2017 season.
The Colombian's new role will focus largely on simulator work at Sauber's Hinwil factory, and attending grands prix with the Swiss team alongside F1 race drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Marcus Ericsson.

Big slide from Verstappen right hander before chicane. Had to drag the rear round the second part of the corner and couldn't get the car set up right for the chicane. Went a bit too aggressive that time and the rear grip wasn't what he expected. He was more conservative next time round.
The Dutchman has just hit 50 laps for the day. Much needed mileage for Red Bull after yesterday's problems.

Maybe McLaren will make it past that 29-lap mark after all!
They have confirmed a Honda power unit change, and will hopefully get Stoffel Vandoorne out again this afternoon.
