Fallout 76

That is being rumoured since December. I believe there is a Forbes article elaborating on F76`s F2P model. In the position they are in it would make business sense though rather backstabbing there BETA testers who purchased a pre-release at $60. You can get the game now around $10 barely 2 months in. CDKeys have it below $9 iirc. I stopped playing, it is very toxic at the moment IMHO and you can easily get killed, again and again by bobblehead boosters as many seem to now have abused the duplication 'hack'. Bethesda don't care, they hired a PR team to address these issues, their dev teams/houses already moved on to their two other developments. All they do now is trialing the Atom Store to test the market...

Bethesda really needs to resolve the way nuke codes are generated or used in the game when some random news online publisher starts to publish the weekly codes...

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/ga...is-Week-January-14-to-21-Nuke-Codes-decrypted

Fallout 76 Nuke Codes This Week: January 14 to 21 Nuke Codes decrypted
The Fallout nuke codes for the week of January 14 to 21 have been figured out.

Bethesda changes the Fallout nuke codes every week, and usually, fans are pretty quick to get the codes figured out.

It can be a tricky process, but the fervent fans have managed to solve the clues.

Here are the Fallout 76 nuke codes for this week for anyone looking to cause a little nuclear mayhem throughout the wasteland.

• Silo Alpha 91037874
• Silo Bravo 48221623
• Silo Charlie 46480359

And since the codes are universal across every instance, players just jump from server to server launching nukes. In every server that I have logged in so far, the nukes have already been depleted for the week.

Then you get these bubblehead boosters who just walk in and out of the bunkers, easy as pie.

Everyone by now knows that item duping is a serious user experience breaking fault of Fallout 76, they started to address the problem, but see how they are going about it,

A MESSAGE ON EXPLOITS
We want Fallout 76 to be a happy and healthy world for all players, and we know that there are concerns with players finding and abusing exploits. We’re working hard to find, fix, and address these as they show up. The number of players raising these to our attention has been incredibly helpful in our process of getting to the bottom of these exploits and we greatly appreciate it. We want you to know that we take these exploits and those abusing them VERY seriously.

Once identified, we work very closely with our Support team to remove problem players that are abusing these exploits - whether that’s the duping exploits or those using cheat apps or mods to access areas in-game that are otherwise inaccessible (and unintended) for players in the game world. As we continue to change the game, we fully expect to identify new issues, but we will continue track and resolve exploits.

If you think you are experiencing an exploit, stop using it immediately and let our Support team know in a ticket.

If you feel you have experienced an issue regarding another player, including observing them using an exploit, we encourage you let our support team know by submitting a ticket here.

how are they unable to track the item IDs???

You see Bethesda is releasing a limited edition Fallout76 leather jacket? "The Fallout 76 Leather Jacket is crafted from real premium lambskin leather "

Wonder if this will go pear shaped like the canvas bag..

That might be legit, it is sold through the Bethesda Store, but it is ugly and damn ugly.

Then again I haven't seen them announce the product...

Nice items on their store,

https://gear.bethesda.net

most products are likely overpriced.

I see Bethesda also responded to a Tweet that there is no truth in the F2P rumour, though everything that I have read on it indicated it to be wise to go F2P due to poor sales.

The Anthem VIP demo is looking at me so I think my days with Fallout 76 are over. 2 Fallout DLCs are now coming out, one which is the Enclave DLC.

They should have done with Fallout 76 what the did with Elder Scrolls Online.

It's kind of stupid how they screwed up so royally with FO76 when ESO was/is doing so well.

Those are brilliant, thanks :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Apparently, Bethesda applied heavy moderation to the comments on that Tweet, but then they got swamped by and obviously, their moderation then got noticed by the public. They let it be.

I'm pretty sure they bring stuff like this up at work in meetings etc but I wonder if the people in the meetings ever chuckle at some of the comments when reviewing them..

The game’s criticism has now become silly to no end. I stopped playing due to duping, other players clearly bending the game’s rule at their own advantage. So now we have this,

https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76-player-who-spent-900-hours-in-game-says-theyve-been-banned/

Fallout 76 player who spent 900 hours in-game says they've been banned

They've collected a large amount of ammo, while a Bethesda community manager is looking into it.

There's someone out there who loves Fallout 76 so much they've played it for more than 900 hours. The heart is a strange thing. Tragedy has unfortunately struck this unlikely relationship, as the survivor in question has also, over the course their long journey, amassed a ridiculous amount of ammo, so much that Bethesda apparently reckons it's an exploit and they've been indefinitely banned from digital West Virginia.

Reddit user Glorf12 claims that Bethesda banned them because it seemed so improbable that anyone would play for so long and gather so much ammo. They say that they simply really like the game, and that by using, but not exploiting, the bandolier perk, which reduces ammo weight by 90 percent, they've been able to lug around a great deal.

A screenshot of an alleged email from Bethesda customer service details the ban. It notes that Glorf12 had collected over 100,000 rare items within 30 days, accusing them of using an exploit. They had 140,960 ultracite ammo on one character, and even more on a secondary account.

They've apparently been banned until the "issue is fixed in a future patch", but a patch has come and gone and Glorf12 is still hasn't been able to set foot in the game. They say that, since they're unable to play the game, they can't verify the ammo numbers, but that they haven't collected as much as Bethesda claims.

"I have never had such a ridiculous amount of ammo," reads the Reddit post. "What I have done, however, is trade ammo back and forth between my main and secondary account as I try to decide on what guns I aim to focus on. Given the sheer amount of time I have spent playing I have legitimately collected ludicrous amounts of ammo."

A Bethesda community manager responded on Reddit, saying they'd investigate the support ticket. We've also reached out to Bethesda to find out if it's possible to collect this much ammo, and why it was flagged as an exploit.

Cheers, Critical Hit.

Now I have seen this being reported by others. Yes, the player in question write guides, guides which are generally liked by the gaming community. It doesn’t take away that he is duping and now so many media outlets and people within the community are crying about it.

There are people in CS with +3000hrs hacking.

Bethesda is anyway screwed, because they cannot simply amend the inventories. The world is a mess, that is it, should call it Fallout: Duping 76.

Entities like PC Gamer, Glitched, they must decide whether it is okay to dupe prior to publishing these articles.

The Reddit threads in question:

Not to mention Jim Sterling made a video about it...

He duped and he muled, probably others involved, was caught out and banned.

How about actual NPCs?
