FYI: I have logged a formal complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa" http://www.asasa.org.za/index.html.
My central claim, as I have stated in this forum already, is the following:
In stating on their website that "Once a customer exceeds the 3 Gigabyte volume limit for the month his international traffic will be transported over a slower international link without affecting his local access. He will experience slower access speeds on the alternate international link...." Telkom are misleading their customers. As many of us have experienced, the link is not slower - it is not there at all.

Yes, I knew there was a 3GB cap - but I did not expect that after that I would not be able to access international addresses at all anymore. Had I known that, I would not have signed up - and I would not have thrown 2500R out of the window.

Hope some of you can endorse this complaint.
Cheers

Okay for one that link is busted

2. Thanks for logging a complaint, it all adds up...

Lets discuss it further once the link is right [xx(]

Hi Paf

Thanks from our side as well. The more organizations are made aware of these complaints, the sooner Telkom has to respond. People are definitely fooled by the Telkom ADSL campaign, and they should take responsibility for their actions.

Sorry, I have this tendency of ending my sentences with a full stop.
Here goes again:

Who buys the Telkom ADSL modems or routers?

Shop around and you WILL definitely find a better price, and if you can get an external one, preferably a router, it makes future connections so much better.

w2k : Define what that article considers customers ? I am pretty sure that large companies with monies to spend get speedy and friendly service. [:p]
