Fastest mobile network in SA

Most expensive mobile network in SA

So once again Vodacom proves that they aren't lying and justified in charging slightly more than the competitors for data on their network.

Now watch everyone complain about their pricing.

If you want cheap data go somewhere else no one is forcing you to use Vodacom, running a network the size and scale of Vodacom's isn't cheap nor easy.

Well done Jannie and the rest of your team.

Yea, maybe in Joburg. But where iam living MTN and CellC is faster.

It's a given Vodacom's network is the fastest and most reliable... MTN and the others know this all to well... but does it justify Vodacom's often premium rates... well that's another debate!

I'm an ex-Vodacom Cell C customer, and I must say I miss the reliablity of VC's network... I often battle with CellC to CellC calls in and around Tygervalley Waterfront/Bellville. CellC's 3G network is also often congested.

I'm also an ex-VC customer. Maybe we're lucky, but we have very little call or data issues. The dropped calls I personally experience are generally related to topography when driving.

This is rich coming from MTN with it's Big Edge network. I have or had contracts with 4 networks namely Vodacom, Cell C, Telkom Mobile and MTN and I would put them in that order for quality of network.

With regard to LTE specifically, my friends and I have found that MTN is consistently faster than Vodacom in and around the Durban area. Vodacom's coverage here is sparse at best too.

In my town Vodacom is not the fastest but neither is MTN. MTN is actually cr@p. Telkom Mobile is by far fastest here.

Have to admit I went with my gut and got a iPhone 5S on Vodacom. 3 weeks of excellent signal, voice and data. Whenever I show people YouTube vids, the stream is awesome!

A friend has the 5S on cell c, if the call drops I call her on her house phone and flirt with her mom before asking to speak her! :)

And that's why we have some of the highest charges in the world.
People actually supporting high prices. God help us all

Yeah for me too. I mean I have LTE with MTN in Richards Bay and Empangeni something Vodacom does not even have here... I have EDGE which to be honest is not great for anything internet.... Vodacom is not bad in town but I will say that MTN LTE is making their internet speed faster for me on average than vodacom

In my town Vodacom is the slowest of the 4 networks at 0.15 Mbps download. Telkom mobile is the fastest at more than 9 Mbps

Been wanting to thank you for a while now for staying with Vodacom through thick and thin and continuously renewing your 24-month contract. ;)

You really act like a child. You know very well why i resigned and trust me it was not because of superior quality. Your network is crap and you guys are the most expensive.
Thanks for that
;)
Jannie were you the guy in school who was the class bully by any chance? Or perhaps the one being bullied and now has something to prove?

I am all for lower prices but not at the cost of quality on the network, go to Cell C or Telkom Mobile and pay less and drop a call every couple of minutes. I'll stay with Vodacom and pay a little bit more and hardly ever drop calls.

I'm on the phone a lot, I generally spend between 15-20 hours a month on calls, my current phone which I got in October already has 33 hours 23 minutes of calls on it. I can't remember the last time a call dropped on me.

My 3G speeds on Vodacom are also generally excellent, averaging between 10-15Mbps easily

Neither, I was the kid that pointed the hypocrisy out when others preached one thing but did the opposite themselves.....

Wow a consumer is pointing out that your network has a problem and needs to be fixed and this is the response!!! Be glad that he is still at vodacom waiting for the improvement. Maybe spend some time on the post were people complain about problems with connection and data. Marine is correct... You are acting like a 5 year old. I have waited long enough. End of the month i will be done with vodacom. Nothing wrong with my data speed or network, but lots of other problems with the oob shark that cannot be fixed. I took all of your advice. Shop visits to fix things. Post treads and yet i still have the same problems.

Marine1 it is time to move on. It is not worth the argument any more. We have waisted to much time and effort on this company.
RIP vodascum
