Watched a interesting documentary the other day. Think it was BBC Horizon "The truth about fat". There is a Dr. le Roux (From SA) that discovered there are two hormones that was not known about before. The one signals when you are hungry and need food and the other signals when you are full and need to stop. In many obese people you will find that these two hormones are dysfunctional. Obese people's hormone that tells them they are hungry is very level compared to people that are thin or of relatively normal weight. They therefore always feel like they need to eat.
This I guess is only one of many factors, but it seems to play a big part in the worlds growing obesity problems, especially where energy rich foods is constantly in your face as opposed to the days when you had to go and hunt for food. /shrug.

I... what?
What did I just read?
That's.... unpossible.
Life is stranger than fiction.
It was a tweet I found under the fat acceptance hashtag but here you go. I'm still trying to get to the actual source.
Got a source for that? Always a bit suspicious of these kind of things that are posted without any attribution or source.
Nice sleuthing...as to the article, :wtf:
One unpleasant side effect of the internet is it gives the lunatic fringe too much of a voice.
