I've seen that at Spar, I should also try it sometime.

We're drinking the Out Of Africa at work.
Very nice flavored coffee, imo.
We originally had the Lombardi which I've been drinking at home as well as the Romanza.

Plungers are ok, I prefer the small Kettles.
 
Any good dark roast ground coffee. Use a plunger or mocha pot on the stove. I don't drink instant coffee.
 
Honestly I have no beef with instant ricoffy, however with instant coffee the trick is not to use water directly after it boiled, let the kettle stand for a few seconds if you drink milk with you instant is to pour the milk first and then the water, as it protects the coffee from the heat.

Will result in a much better tasting coffee I should also note ricoffy will also taste different from place to place pending water used, some filters on their taps which does soften up the water a bit from all the crap they add to water to purify it.I have borehole water so I don't have that problem with water adding artificial "bad" taste to coffee.

If you don't believe me is to buy some spring water, mineral water(essentially tap water which has under gone reverse osmosis) and tap water.There will be a 100% difference in taste between the tap and mineral/spring water when used with coffee.

That all said I do enjoy a light java roast and Italian dark roast....the nest cafe cappuccino sachets is great...
 
Mastertons is good, but can only find it at some farm stall between Mossel Bay and Riversdale (Luckily I'm visiting PE next month to stock up). Anyway, in Mossel bay, there's a place called Baruchs Coffee. Their espresso gold blend is good IMO. http://www.baruchscoffee.co.za/

We also occasionally have some douwe egberts espresso style but it is waay too expensive for me to use 3 spoons of coffee.
It's just not strong enough despite being a dark, strong blend.

and your point is ? :p really don't care if you want to compare it to engine cleaner...you drink what you can afford and how lazy/busy you are, it is what is it flavored water you just going to pee out any ways :D At least my pee doesn't cost an arm or a leg ;).

However beer on the other hand, I treat like most of you treat coffee. Trappist Westvleteren beer....
 
I am too lazy at work, so I only make one cup of good coffee in the morning then I force myself to drink Jacobs the rest of the day. It's really awful, but if you don't put too much coffee in it tastes kind of like weak filter coffee. :D

I have some at home. Really great kawfee.
I found some in the fridge from 2 years back. Is it worrying that it tastes the same as a fresh bag?

Never keep coffee in a frigde unless you want to destroy the taste of the coffee, period...

Well I alternate between Jacobs and Douwe Egberts (both instant coffee). I love Douwe Egberts more, but I mostly drink Jacobs, because the Douwe Egberts isn't available most of the time. I want to try the woolies coffee, heard its really good. I find myself drinking coffee 3 times a day...I drink it black with no sugar.

Either grounded or not, it contains oil which provides the flavor of the coffee, a fridge forces these oils out which often results in "bitter" tasting, coffee also tends to absorb fridge smells , fresh roasted beans also needs to be kept in a breathable container preferably some thing with a one way valve as fresh roasted beans still release CO2 for a while after being roasted.

Also remember coffee beans is porous so it will absorb whatever smell is in the cupboard, so after opening a bag best to keep coffee away from other coffee's in a airtight container, away from light, heat and moisture.
