About 6 months ago they reached and laid fiber along the road on opposite side to Walmer Park. I enquired with Openserve who responded that they have no plans for the area. Until his death earlier this year I would have enquired of MikeyD.
Anyone with knowledge of who the provider is?

Might be DFA Fibre, they only provide the fibre infrastructure and a ISP like Openserve or Vodacom will have to lease that piece of fibre.

Thanks, I made contact with Openserve via Facebook. Their response was that they had no plans for this area. I’ll approach DFA and see what they have to say.

Hi there, please send me an email to henriettew@bebroadband.co.za and I will see if I can maybe assist in a way.

From what I see it depends where in Main Rd you are, on the one side I see OpenServe Fibre Coverage, on the other side, I see DFA Live Fibre in parts where it is only feasible SADV sites, meaning they need to see what the uptake will be before they go live.

Thank you Henrietta for the trouble you went to in emailing me that it was in fact laid by DFA who only lay the fiber. ISPs have to take it further and find customers.

I can now confirm that Vox/Frogfoot are laying in the surrounding streets. Estimated light up end August 2019.
