Noticed quite a bit of activity from both Metrofibre and Openserve in the area, seems like a large push to get everybody connected before the holiday season starts.

I can only hope so, I've been chatting to afrihost customer service but they say they can only wait for MFN and the ONT box. Wish someone at MFN could get the ball rolling a bit quickerNoticed quite a bit of activity from both Metrofibre and Openserve in the area, seems like a large push to get everybody connected before the holiday season starts.
We tend to directly rash MFN to get ONT drops arranged as fast as possible since we worked with them quite a bit on all the Glenwood rollouts, but im sure it wont be long if you have @AfriNatic on the case.I can only hope so, I've been chatting to afrihost customer service but they say they can only wait for MFN and the ONT box. Have seen this before, not much can be done besides getting MFN to adjust the port itself. Your ISP should be in charge of this and just needs to keep on thier case.Hey all,
I’m with MetroFibre… my ISP is Webafrica. Just got my fibre line installed 2 days ago. But my line is stuck at 25/25 I’ve contacted Webafrica and MetroFibre individually and it seems that on Webafrica’s side it’s 300/300 and MetroFibre has it as 25/25
I’ve been trying to escalate this and sort it out, but had no luck.
Anyone have any pointers for me please?
Need to get MetroFibre to provision it at 300/300.
Thanks

I dont think I have seen an Mweb support person in around 8 years.Hi everyone
Is there a mweb rep here? I have a neighbour who's also trying to get his fibre sorted but he's getting nowhere with the support.
Shame no wonder he's strugglingI dont think I have seen an Mweb support person in around 8 years.
We would like to assist, but we are getting too many requests to follow up with FNO's for our competiting ISP's. Do wish them luck though, do you know what the issue is, or it is just a general order problem?Shame no wonder he's struggling
Greetings,@Ghostfibre I did a search on your site for my address.
It shows MetroFibre and Vumatel as available fibre networks. But from my memory Vumatel pulled out a long time ago from Morningside. It is not showing Openserve even though it shows a available for pre-order on their site.
Update:
My download is still 25 and upload is now 300.
Hard reboot has been completed, as well as re-provisioning has been completed - I’m still having issue here.
This happened to my mother-in-law as well. Took Webafrica and MetroFibre over a month to get the download upgraded properly.
Not sure how they upgrade half the line
Anyone have pointers for me to try sort this out.. all these follow ups and support tickets are killing me.
I just want my fibre sorted now haha
This is where we have had to stand in with the support of Metrofibre and get them to release the port and it took a whole 2 months for WebAfrica to notice there was an issue. It is unacceptable behaviour.I’ve still not been able to get through to support WebAfrica Helper I’m at a point where I can’t even get them to actually cancel my line… doing this will probably end up being another 2 to 3 months frustration and pulling my hair out.
Probably the most ridiculous support I’ve come across.. and not to say Metrofibre has been any better… they just push the blame on each other, I can’t believe that there’s no ownership and resolution to a customers issue.
I’m still stuck in the middle not getting the support or service I’m paying for.
