-- Logged to Frogfoot maintenance. ETA 14h25.
-- Maintenance drove along the backhaul between Sea Park and Umtentweni and see no physical damage. On their way to Port shepstone to test the back haul from there
-- Tested from seapark back to portshepstone
-- Contractors will only attend to site at 21:00pm tonight.

@AfriNatic its back up but my upload is a mess (again). Seriously this is becoming like a weekly/bi-weekly thing now.

There was a break caused by a 3rd party when they trenched. New backhaul cable had to be floated.

Yes exactly that corner that is the issue.

Yeah... laying fibre on top of 60 year old water cables in the South Coast was a brilliant idea.

Also been having latency issues, not sure if it is related although.

There has been extensive damage by cable thieves. When techs arrived on scene they were met by the thieves still damaging infrastructure. This will likely be a longer than usual outage.
This also the same issue affecting me?
Yes Frogfoot Noc confirmed on one of my tickets. Degraded due to backup NLD's being used.
