Fibre in Ramsgate

It's actually amazing to think (for me) that if it weren't for vandalism, sabotage and theft (accidents I completely understand), most of Frogfoot's and others uptime would actually be near perfect.
I agree, have only been down due to vandalism and theft.

Back online for now, latency a bit jumpy but got throughput at least.

The last update I managed to get as I could only access twitter with Vodacom a few mins ago:

Yes. One NLD has been restored but the main NLD is still down. Will be resolved once the splicing has been completed and then latency and speeds should stablise.

Probably still busy. Lots of disconnects.

Outage is now resolved.

My ping has been sitting at 26-30 since.

Anyone else?

Oh, I see its back up in the 30's, it was fine the last two days, weird

Interesting to note is that Openserve is busy running fibre in Ramsgate and Margate. They are not trenching but using existing telephone polls.

Happy that Openserve is also doing this in my area which was not covered by Frogfoot in the initial phases.
