Fibre in Ramsgate

Well FF techs themselves told me I'm apparently the only one in my road who took up fibre. One FF tech said he also lives here in Tweni and the uptake was not good.

So if UGU's weed trimmers are cutting off some breakout points my guess is most won't even know it.

Btw the contractor who pulled my cable from the breakout on the pavement into my property pulled it through a ****ing seeping hole in my wall. I never even realized it until May sometime when we were cleaning up after the floods. Its not even in conduit they only started using conduit from inside my property. I had to close it up.

Not sure how true that info is but when I look at the maps and active links uptake is huge for KZN South Coast.

Okay yes I see what you mean it's pretty thin there. In general it looks pretty healthy over the whole area but I don't know what the target is for FNO's and it will likely get more competitive once Openserve starts going live especially with their free install and 30 days free fibre promo.

I hope they still updating the map, I see my home address is in a dead zone at the moment with pre order on the left and pre order on the right

Will definitely be looking at ditching ff.

Back to normal on my side, I have seen the latency increase about 2ms after the outage before this but dont think that is a huge deal.
