Fibre in South Crest!

2 Ocean Street
Southdowns Estate.

It was build about a year ago by the
"Big Red" and we not getting any joy out of it as we are locked to them as an ISP and we wanted to bring in another player
PM me the contact details of the HOA/BC and we'll talk.

Does anyone know what happened to SouthCrest / Tulisa Park vote on Friday? I sent my vote through on email.

BTW, both Telkom and Vodacom told me it's vumatel laying the fiber.

Quick update, the Fibre poles are property of Metro Fibre, the community vote was in favor of the poles, and we will be getting fibre near the end of June. There is a 2 month period that the only ISP allowed to use MetroFibres fibre is Initio360, after that any ISP on Metros network will be allowed to use it.

I have signed up for a 100/100 Line for R1412p/m and I absolutely cannot wait.

Hey bud.
How has your experience been so far?

So I had a chat with a PM from Metrofibre and they say SouthCrest will only be live latest next month as they are now doing termination points

So, we still need to wait for Metrofibre to finish and then Initio360 still have the 2 months monopoly after that?
Thats not what I got from Metrofibre as they say Initio is just an ISP

Actually they are using Initio to install termination points inside people's houses.

I'm not complaining as I knew this will happen, but I was told on the 7th of March by a Vodacom salesman that it will take 2 to 3 months for the fibre to be active in my house :)

Does anyone know if this is still only Initio?

They do have a 2 month exclusivity, after which you can then approach any isp that you'd like... i would also guess it 2 months from when the 'area' goes live from metrofibre's side.

Initio is one of the preferred installer inthe area and Metrofibre encourages residents to apply for Termination points through Initio in order to gauge the uptake b4 going live hence you see some houses with Dropfibre leading to their houses.

The guy from metro fibre just came to my complex today in elands rock nature estate to and installed the router and told me we should be live in the next 24 hours. So looks good for us here in south crest
