Fibre is killing ADSL

And suburbs look like badly made birds nests.....just wait till the next invention and bankrot fibre companies which will leave wires and poles hanging......

Openserve spent a lot of money installing high speed copper (G.fast) into our complex (fed by FTTB), but they never activated it. Many residents are choosing to connect fibre (FTTH), installed by another provider at the same time.

I heard you on the wireless back in fifty two
Lying awake intent at tuning in on you
If I was young it didn't stop you coming through
Oh a oh
They took the credit for your second symphony
Rewritten by machine on new technology
And now I understand the problems you can see
Oh a oh
I met your children
Oh a oh
What did you tell them?
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
Pictures came and broke your heart
Oh, a, a, a, oh
And now we meet in an abandoned studio
We hear the playback and it seems so long ago
And you remember the jingles used to go
Oh-a oh
You were the first one
Oh-a oh
You were the last one
Video killed the radio star
Video killed the radio star
In my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone to far
Oh-a-aho oh
Oh-a-aho oh
Video…

My fibre is too unreliable. I keep ADSL as a back up. I have rarely had a Telkom ADSL problem. I have to fall back to ADSL at least once a week

Highly doubt that will happen for quite a while.
The fiber itself hasn't reached the limit yet, the tech on both ends is what limits it.

Plus our fiber is trenched . :p

And yet despite this some places like Joburg is slow to roll out due to delays in the way leave issue times

And Telkoms share price continues to make new highs, what am I missing.
