Fibre Routers

yeah i have the one with a back up battery
even if you don't use that router keep the battery pack its worthwhile to have on your new router to keep it powerd in case of load shedding or any other power outages.

aaah ok so better to get a router with more antennae's so more can connect

As long as the router supports Mu-mimo then yes - more antenna - doesn't necessarily mean it does :)

In the context of this thread, can we clear something up? Neither the OP's B315 or whatever Mweb sent him are fibre routers. Neither take a gbic, both are simply wifi routers.

Totolink A3002RU v2 or Tenda AC6 or TP-link Archer C60

buddy bought the tendar ac6 or ac8 for around R600

is that a good one ?
I cant voucher for Tenda as a brand - havent used it.

I like Tp-link and use it often and Toto link may be a chinesey brand (manual will be in engrish) but i had one of those in my ADSL days - fok me that thing was a workhorse, Solid as a rock!
Gave it to some one I think they still using it

Be careful of Tenda, check for firmware updates first..only the AC8 seems to be getting updates. The AC 6 and AC10 last had updates in 2018.

Personally, I prefer ASUS routers, especially the RT-AC68U and 86U which can be flashed with the Merlin firmware
