Fibre: Secunda Community

Well they started in my street yesterday. So hopefully I will have fiber very soon. I am assuming they will do the whole street and then start connecting 5he houses.
 
Show the whole result man, not just the download. Where is the upload, ping and jitter?

That doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Only thing that should matter is the fact that you have Fibre in your area.

It does matter... I mean what good would the fibre be if it turns out to be crap, it is like having a car but it wont go faster then 3km/h but hey atleast you have a car?!? Does not make sense at all.
 
I hope they include all roads in Secunda. No excavations happened so far in our block or nearby. We were skipped when VDSL was also enabled so I've been stuck on max 4mb ADSL for a long time. Max LTE speed is also only 6mb at my house. So I'm waiting patiently for my 40mb fibre.

How are you enjoying your locked out router... sucks big time...
anyone considering vodacom needs to be warned that they control your router completely... they dont even supply you with your PPOE credentials....

Thats ok, its still better than all the other fibre providers running past my house /s

So true, they supplied a Nokia router that auto configures on reboot. That's why they don't want to give us the credentials...
 
Isn't there a factory reset that would enable the default admin password?
 
Ok so basically their password is the default password and not the standard one.

I see accelerit isp is available on the vodacom fibre network. Maybe worth a try...

But who will install the last piece of fibre to my house from the junction box...
Vodacoms deal includes installation...
