So I applied for Afrihost fibre the other day through TT Connect, and an email said I will be contacted by TT Connect for installation. That hasn't happened.

My house is still on the Afrihost map for fibre, but it has been removed from the updated TT Connect map.

So, can I get fibre at my house or not?

Heya Fenix_SA. I'm surprised to hear that TT Connect removed your address from their map, but I think that's probably related to the delay you're experiencing. :( Please PM me your account info and I'll follow up with pour Fibre Team and try get you an answer. :)

Honestly why even look at Afrihost, why not an ISP with no shaping/throttling?

An ISP that says they have no shaping and throttling is lying to you, and I have been very happy with Afrihost since I have been with them

All I am saying is you don't have to abide by the same rules as ADSL on fibre, jump through hoops when you can pay one price to have an unshapped/unthrottled experience at a a cheaper price, Their are many who can vouch that the experience really is like advertised. i have that experience no shapping or throttling i use as much as i want when i want my ISP cant even tell me my usage.

Who is your ISP?

Who is your ISP?

I use Metrofibre as they put the infrastructure in our estate (locked in for 3 months) but the experience has been far better than i anticipated Zero shaping/throttling, once i am able to move my last move will be to Afrihost it makes no sense when other ISP's offer more.

I'm glad to hear you're happy with your new Fibre provider. :)

For the record, we do offer packages with no shaping or throttling. Feel free to ask me any questions if you ever consider moving back in the future. :)
