Nah dude, I play PES with friends... if the netcode is better this time around then will start playing online. FIFA is just meh for me man - irregardless of the graphics. I've already given all the reasons I don't really dig it. I'll try it on the consoles, why not - but I will definitely choose only one for to play regularly. Otherwise my groove is thrown off if I play two sports sims that need different styles.

I only play on consoles,pc's don't do footy games justice(excluding fm09).Does not have the same feel.

Rubbish. The PC rejuvenated the PES franchise because it opened it up to the modding community. TV output is basically standard on all Graphics Cards. Dude... seriously...
so you willing to pay R3xx for a game that needs other people/dev to fix it's incompentace???!?!?!?!?
I'm sorry if I buy a title I expect it to be a working title... I will not buy a game only to wait for someone else to fix their stuff ups. Be it licence agreements, glitches etc
take Sacred 2 for example... you gotta pay R3xx then you gotta download up to 4gigs worth of patches before the game will actually run... wtf?
License agreements they can't do much about, blame certain leagues for using exclusive licensing. Konami doesn't have the money ea does. And besides they have improved a lot in that department. They have the cl and europa league licenses plus the serie a,la liga,bundes liga and man utd plus lfc are fully licensed. Those are just the major ones.
Modding adds to the games. PES is good without mods but is great with mods. You will find my games out there like that. Fallout 3 and oblivion just to mention 2.

Majority of people don't have their pc's by their tv's.
If my pc was my my tv and I had a wireless xbox type controller then yes,I would agree with you.
But I'm not going to lug my pc to my tv every time I want to play pes

As stefan9 said - it's not incompetence, it's rather the fact that they really don't have any other option.
However, to prove the point to you - see what the FIFA modding community cooked up for the Mercato. Yes I know it has just passed, but since I never look at FIFA at all I didn't know about this. That said - I will be looking to buy a secondhand version of FIFA just to try out this patch
See what they changed in the gameplay...Most of the previews I read are saying that Fifa10 is the better game(Xbox360 and PS3). It seems as though some people(I have a couple of friends who even refuse to touch Fifa) are still stuck in "PES is the greatest footy game ever made"
Fifa has really improved over the past two years and after playing both PES2009 and Fifa09 I must say that Fifa is the better game for me.
Note: I'm not a PC gamer. (infact im not a gamer at all)

Better game is determined by platform. Fifa 10 is the better game on the console. Total opposite on the pc. The difference between the two is the gap on console isn't as large as the gap is on pc.

Indeed. PES owns FIFA on PC but FIFA owns PES on console.

OH PLEASE... i just hope anyone in here who plays and raves about Fifa so much actually knows how to kick a proper football outside (in REAL life).
Pro Evos gameplay outshined Fifas always and there are moments in Pro Evo i will never forget.Fifa is always the same style of goal.boring as [email protected] enjoyed Fifa 09 but it can never compare to Pro Evo im sorry.i really hope PES2010 comes back and gets the crown Fifa has been wearing for the last 2-3 years

nah Cantera - Fifa has owned the crown for sure in overall departments but it will never TOUCH pro evo's physics.
coming from a Pro Evo fan they have slowed down and just couldnt keep up with the shine of EA.
Fifa 1999 was amazing... but since then i cant really say any football game from EA has had me so amazed.Until Pro Evo 3,4,5 came out and i was obsessed man...got all my friends hooked aswell.
Listen man im gonna pre-order both and not be biased this year but by the sounds of one of the hands on previews i hear PES is back to its glory days.

I have to disagree mate. I absolutely HATE Fifa. The game play is just not up it. I hate the slow, laggy, draggy style Fifa gives the gamer.
Hell, all the players run at the same speed. All the goals look the same. One thing i will give Fifa is that 09 has stepped up. It does look polished in some departments, but it is sadly still lacking in the most important department for me - the actual game play department.
