It's a Somali. You cannot blame anyone for not trusting a Somali. They do it to themselves. From being pirates to recently trying to hack someone's head of in Ireland.

It is scummy to blame the victims/organizers or Trump for taking appropriate action(he isn't even directly involved)to best ensure a peaceful tournament.

I get that Trump has blanket banned Somalis from the US, but surely a ref to the world cup should be allowed in. Suppose they could issue ankle monitors to all visa overstayers on top of the usual probes. The US leg of this world cup is going to be very uncomfortable. They should have held the entire thing in México. Much more passion for the beautiful game there.

Countries bid for it. Mexico didn't put in a bid to host it by themselves. Everyone wants America $.

The stuff you guys are complaining about is really irrelevant.

If there was an problem with the 1st attempt FIFA and the tournament organizers should have stepped in and helped.

This just justifies that the guy is shady and blocking him is probably appropriate.

Because it's not like ankle monitors can be removed or anything. Oh, and the cartels are going to have a field day just with the games that have been scheduled in Mexico. They would've gone mental if the whole thing was hosted there.

They gave him a diplomatic passport because they figured it would increase his chances of getting in. They figured wrong when it backfired spectacularly. Blame the people who advised him, not the US government.
