not to mention they need parliament to approve what they wish to change so while some of them are corrupt, it's not as simple as 123.

To be honest, National Socialist education sucked big time. I scraped through a Government school in '75 (Windhoek), rewrote 3 months later and got university exemption. It was geared towards indoctrination and I was always different from that. I went to Uni later and sailed through but it wasn't that hard once you got the hang of it. Any educational system that is geared towards getting kids to think for themselves gets my thumbs up. The gap between the theory behind the system and the actual delivery (as usual) is the problem.

The new Government and the old haven't actually turned out that different - just their skin colours.
The old didn't like TV and heavily regulated it. The new have kept the status quo, plus they've extended it to the Internet. Both have/had totalitarian roots and fundamentally distrust freedom of information.
Needless to say, both hate the media - unless it's on their side. Particularly the Sunday Times.

Both sets of governments were crap to South Africans.. at least now I dont have to worry about the secret police knocking on my door cause I read something slightly liberal.

No matter how crap this government .. or previous ones were.. I would take Mbeki, Botha and Zuma over Bush aaaaaaaaaaanyday.

Most people in power are crooks :)

You need help. Your perception of reality seems extremely distorted. You need to build yourself a bomb shelter and isolate yourself from society as you are a danger to your own health.

It's people like you who talk BS about SA without actually knowing what you're talking about.

I'm not sure where you've been getting you facts from, but for the first time in 15yrs, the ANC has lost it's 2/3rds and lost a province to the opposition. But I doubt you'll see any good in this, as your extremely pessimistic outlook clouds your judgment and negatively affects your perception of life.

Not sure what you are on about ? The europeans came to a wilderness and made a country out of it. Built it up very nicely, just for these ANC gravy train hoppers to mess up everything. Some achievement. 350 years to build a country, 15 years to tear it down. There is nothing good about the ANC. I don't care how you spin it. You are trying to give yourself false hope and eluding reality.

Your right, they are really tearing up the country. Have you used the N1 lately, take a stroll to Greenpoint, see the deep trenches of fibre cable down town Johannesburg, or go to Durban where they are devaluing peoples properties by building a worldclass airport. Try travelling, use OR Tambo once in a while and see the madness at the airports. Go to the country site and see the RDP houese that people are leaving in.

So, if that's how they are tearing up the country, then please I want to sign up, and tear it even more.:D

Yeah, I met the SP ... and the DS ... in the middle of the night.

Face it - Zuma or Botha? I guess it depends on which side of the democratic divide you sit. The Nats had +90% of the vote for decades and that didn't make them right. The political reality of today comprises the logical consequences of their policies. That, of course, still doesn't make today's politics right, there are those of us who still stick by the principles of right and wrong and for those, listen to Tutu.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh at your statement. The funny thing is that in 15yrs time, you'll probably still be rambling on how this country has gone to the dogs, while in actual fact nothing will have changed.

Everywhere I look things are being built, not destroyed... and you question my perception of reality while in actual fact reality is staring me in the face?!

What's wrong with the airport? I was there recently and will be there again soon. Parking's a joy these days - they've got these really cool red or green lights above the parking bays to tell you which are open. No more driving around. Try find something similar at Heathrow, which is a dump.

You laugh at mine. And yours is the funniest i've seen in a while. You keep going on about reality. Yet you need a reality check. Live in your fantasy. It seems you're quite good at it.

Reality is not seeing buildings going up. Reality is people getting raped, and murdered (senseless) and SA being such a haven for criminals. Reality is not seeing an economy growing. It's seeing the farmers close down their businesses, because it's become too expensive. Reality is not living a comfortable life. It's seeing our drinking water deteriorate to such a state, that not even animals want to touch it.

This is the reality. I guess you missed that.
