Maybe you're lucky and it is just a fungal infection Not an STD i.e. a Go to the pharmacist and ask for cream for jock itch and they will give you a anti fungal cream that takes the burning away. Jock itch is not sex related but can be sports related e.g your inner thighs rub against each other when running could be a reason you have it so no need to be embarrassed saying you got it to a pharmacist.
It is like athletes foot cream for your crotch.

If you don't have any discharge it could just be an allergic reaction. I used to get a rash because my jocks weren't rinsed properly and my nut sack didn't agree with the residue. I also got crabs once from a slutty ex girlfriend that had the cheek to blame it on my dog. :p The doctor wouldn't be specific as to the cause other than to tell me the only way I could have gotten it was through sex - I didn't have sex with my dog, soooo....

Just go to a doctor because that is the last place you take chances with!
