Firefox 3.5 launched

Ok, it is definitely faster than FF3! I did install it, played around with it a bit....thumbs up. Not a bad effort from Mozilla.

But my default browser will still remain Google Chrome.

Why can't the other browsers not copy the small footprint of Chrome? Like the tabs? I have not seen any other browser that does tabs as neat and efficient as Chrome.

I hate a browser that starts eating into my full page surfing experience.

Not really fond of the new [+] tab to "Open a new tab" since that reminds me a lot of IE... What was wrong with CTRL + T?

simply add the 'open a new tab' icon.

I've switched back to Firefox until Chrome sort out the issues with tabs and Windows 7. It was a browser-breaking problem for me. The increased speed of Firefox 3.5 is a huge plus!

I'm been using FF rc3. Is this an actual release or just another candidate? Great browser tho.

Maybe my systems dated, but found Chrome too slow once a couple of tabs were open. Gave up on it.

Also take a look a Opera 10 Beta. Very fast. Drag down the tabs bar to show an icon of each open page represented. Great speed dial. Turbo browse facility for slow connections compresses images thru a proxy to reduce bandwidth usage.

I still think Google designed Chrome just for me.

+3 I just love Chromes thumbnail layout. If FF could replicate that and make the rest of the browser page a little less cluttered I would be converted back...

So far Im liking it, its a major improvement, my only problem is that most of my add ons dont work!!! And there were only updates for two, which now work

Also like the feature that you can type search words straight into your navigation bar and Google gives you the search results. That is seriously cool!

Must admit, I do like Apple Safari a lot (it is a bit faster than Chrome), but not the layout of tabs - it just takes up space. Chrome and Safari are built on the same engine.....so a few tweaks from the Chrome devs and it will run side by side with Safari....or maybe overtake it.
