Firefox 3 is only hours old but flaw finders have already located bugs in the browser bairn.

An unspecified flaw that creates a means to inject hostile code onto vulnerable systems affects both Firefox 3 and Firefox 2, TippingPoint warns.

The security tools firm has informed Mozilla and is holding off details of the mystery bug pending the availability of a patch. The vulnerability was submitted to TippingPoint through the vendor's controversial Zero Day Initiative, which provides financial rewards to researchers who discover new flaws, just five hours after the release of Firefox 3.0.

I'm wondering how serious that could turn out to be.

it's quite snappy on both ubuntu and opensuse10.3

firefox 3 is running much slower than ff2

+1

I can def notice that it is very much slower, especially with alot of tabs open and especially if one of those tabs happens to have MIG33 (web version) open and if you're in multiple chat rooms, then the PC just dies!

If you go to the research division's Blog page you will see they are taking SERIOUS flack for announcing this AFTER FF3 shipped. apparently they were aware of this a month ago... but only chose now to speak up.

Why did they wait? To get the cash?

Who knows. Not all of these guys are as reputable as we would wish. Remember Firefox is Open Source, so you must needs have some whackos somewhere trying to make their contribution.

Did it just come out now?
I downloaded it and looking for themes:p

I got Phoenity Modern, quite nice.
Theres a few black ones, Pitch Dark and Nasa Night Launch.
