Hahaha we are pawning the rest of Africa over 12 000 downloads and counting.
 
where do we check the SA downloads stats? I followed the link in the article but it only has foreign countries listed.

when you see the world map... just move your mouse over South Africa.
 
Interesting, as there were only about 5000 pledges

Alot of people I know didnt pledge for the simple reason of that they didnt know when it'd be released, so not wanting to commit to something they cant do.

Also, alot of people are only hearing of it today, and it's spreading. I suspect an increase of downloads towards the end of the day as people download at home to. Just hope they beat the cut off time.

currently the total downloads is 5,324,019

south africa broke the 10K mark about 10 or 15min ago.

person who wrote the article deff on druggs , he says that south africa has done!!! " At that time there had been almost 8 5000 copies downloaded in South Africa. Local users have until 8:15pm on Wednesday evening to download a copy of Firefox 3 to be part of the download record attempt."

85000 copies , but on this site this morning it only said 8500 and now is 16100+

come ppl were is the proof reading, b4 printing to our screens.????
