Firefox 4 beta 5 fonts messed up.

Has anyone else updated to firefox 4 beta 5, and find that their font rendering is messed up? I had to revert back to beta 4. Here is an example. Compared to any other app (including beta 4), the fonts look terrible, especially the url bar and tabs.

Any ideas? I know they switched on GPU acceleration, but disabling it seems to have no effect.

It looks different for me, I thought it was the GPU rendering. I think I prefer how it was in Beta 4, but its not bad enough to make me switch.

GMail doesnt seem to work at all though. Like it doesnt even try to load. Just gives me a blank page.

I found this in some blog:

The font rendering in the browser chrome (i.e. the UI area) is a known issue that is being worked on. It's largely due to a microsoft bug that Microsoft is working on as well.

Ok, fixed it by going options > advanced > general > Use hardware acceleration when available (uncheck).
Fonts are fine again, but obviously acceleration is disabled. Oh well.

I've just gone back to Firefox 3. Some buttons stopped working (ie the checkout button on take2.co.za) and any HTTPS links refused to work at all. I reported these problems to Mozilla using the Send Feedback button, so hopefully they will do something about it, but for now its not stable enough for my day to day use. FF3 also seems much, much snappier but that could be because I had 3 tab groups open each with about 6-8 tabs.
