Firefox crashed while I was trying into check my usage on Telkom's Usage tracker. Since then it crashes every time I go there. I get a popup saying it can't run the script log4js.js and do I want to continue trying. No matter what I do at this point it just pops up again. While Firefox says that it blocked over 5000 popups. I'm using XP SP3 and I've updated Firefox and Java and checked for malware and viruses. All other sites work fine, it's only the graphs page of the Telkom Usage tracker. I can get to it from another computer so I don't think it's a telkom issue. Pretty sure its Firefox has a corrupted file from the initial crash, just can't figure how to repair it. Reinstall Firefox?

These latest versions of FF have chased me to using Chrome now, much snappier page loads & not driving my CPU mad.
Did try Aurora & that was not much differant.

This. Had enough of FF. I can't "defend" it any longer. Seems to be crashing with most people I know. Very happy with Chrome.

No problems here, even with tons of extensions installed. It works like a dream.

Crome/Chromium is the way to go but of late I see it's quite memory hungry.

I tried the Telkom Tracker using IE with no problem. Looks like I'll have to reinstall Firefox. It will have to wait till next month cause I'm on the verge of getting capped. Ah well the joys of computing!

Mr G, you must be the exception to the rule then. It used to run with no issues on my side. But after the last couple of updates things would just crash on my side -even though I'd still have like 4GB of ram free...with about 25+ tabs open. Chrome on the other hand has not crashed...currently have 37 tabs open and about 4.4GB free.

I don't know...FF just started crashing too often and it became a real schlep. (The only thing I changed on the system was updating FF.)

Hmmmm, I'm not seeing any major complaints on the Mozilla forums. Seems like it is running fine for most people.

I'd recommend that you do a complete uninstall. Then go in manually and delete any folder remnants in your Program Files Folder and UserData forlders. Then do a fresh re-install. That should clear up an legacy issues you have. Whatever is causing your mess up is probably not getting removed when you do a normal uninstall.

Using latest Firefox release under 4 different operating systems, few add-ons, can't recall any crashes in past few months!!

Also no probs under both Debian 32 and 64.
I have about 40 tabs open on my netbook (D32) which get saved every time I shut down.

Come to think of it, I can't remember when last I had FF crash on me.
