Firefox drops Google as default search provider

Love how it syncs my bookmarks and history between devices and the new device developer tools, very handy!

Not sure about the last (devloper) bit, but Firefox also syncs my entire profile including all of my extensions, bookmarks, passwords, etc. across multiple machines and even my mobile.

True but then you need to create another account whereas with Google you just use that with 2 factor authentication etc.

Which everyone already has thans to Gmail/YouTube/Android.

In what world??? I know a few people that have Gmail or Android devices, but not many.
While I doubt my anecdotal evidence is reflective of reality, I sincerely doubt yours is either

Well, you don't need to have an Android device. I don't think I know any iPhone users that don't have a Google account (e.g. for Gmail, Youtube, etc).

Youtube? Never met anyone who actually posts thing on there.
Anyway, a large amount of people don't have google accounts, so Chrome Sync it is just as much of a hassle as Firefox sync for most i.e very little hassle

Really? How do you subscribe to channels without a Google account? That's like the most important part of Youtube.

I also use FF when I need to access site with Java apps. Chrome simply cannot do this.

this is one of the main reasons i went back to ff. only to be surprised at how it's improved over the last couple of iterations. and there's also tab candy.

JStrike lives in an alternate Apple shaped universe where Google is as relevant as Blackberry is to us.

I don't even know what "subscribing" to a "channel" is. My usage, which mirrors almost everyone I know, is that someone posts a youtube video on Facebook and you just watch it. Now I concede that other people might use it differently, but I have just never heard of it

Not at all. I use Google Search daily. But that is where my interaction ends.
And what does Apple have to do with it?

What kind of job let's you have three at the same time? Wow, you're a lucky guy.

Now that is a retarded statement to make. If you're developing public facing websites and you need to do cross browser compatibility?

You click on someones channel that says "Subscribe" and then they become priority in your feeds.

What's more disturbing is that his company "lets" him use software. Does he need to ask permission to use a browser?
