Firefox drops Google as default search provider

What's more disturbing is that his company "lets" him use software. Does he need to ask permission to use a browser?

Lots of companies have strict IT policies. If you let users run a muck they will just go wild and install hundreds of things. Its really not as disturbing as you're making it out to be.

What kind of job let's you have three at the same time? Wow, you're a lucky guy.

Unfortunately I don't have the cache to have that many...
And even if I had a lot more Ram power, I wouldn't be able to sustain it for long. Not with 3 at the same time.

Unless If I "overclock" - sure, juicing your system with give you extra performance for a while, but it also makes things get too hot and suddenly everything needs to be soaked in oil.
I have an old motherboard in any case, which will freak out at the first sight of this kind of stuff. Just not worth the risk!

Having too many also introduces the possibility of you getting a virus. No thanks.

Our web development work has to be certified on multiple browsers. Therefore testers and developers use all of the major browsers.

Firefox is my 2nd option browser after chrome. Once they implement the changes i'll still personalise to whatever search engine i want immediately whether it be Google or ASK :D :sick: :D

Chrome is obviously the best browser on the market, but like any browser it sometimes has issues. When it does I use Firefox. Ill just change their default search tool. Honestly... who uses Yahoo for search anymore?

Well, you don't need to have an Android device. I don't think I know any iPhone users that don't have a Google account (e.g. for Gmail, Youtube, etc).

You don't know me but I'm an iPhone user and I don't have a gmail account. Dumped it many moons ago when they decided to drop exchange support.

I use Chrome on my work laptop but I don't use it much. I'm a Safari kind of guy... We live in Africa man.

Why I hate FF, the annoying updates. I'm forced to use it on campus and the update notifications bug me as I don't have permissions to update.

Chrome on the other hand would update automatically.

Now that is a retarded statement to make. If you're developing public facing websites and you need to do cross browser compatibility?

Look, I have a big enough hard drive. Yeah it's the useless 3.5" size but it's SOLID state man, and has awesome TRIM.
It's pretty fast but like I said my problem is cache, I don't have enough to have 3 or 4 simultaneously.

The best is to have 1 that can provide Java on command, Flash once in a while, and ready for a plugging at a moments notice. (Especially if that plugging implies full access to backdoor type stuff)
That's all you need!

This topic is all from the wrong angle, this is not about Firefox, this is about YAHOO.

Chrome = Google
IE = Bing
Firefox = Yahoo .

It was bound to happen somehow if Yahoo remotely wanted to feature on someone's desktop/browser . Firefox was the perfect "neutral" browser for this deal. Yahoo browser incoming in 3.2....

or just use ff and enjoy a better experience? no need to change browsers for whatever reason.
