Firefox getting sloppy?

My firefox 2.0.0.11 is a little bit slow on startup (probably cos of the 18 extensions I have loaded), but once it is open it runs like a dream! I reboot after using it continuously for 4 or 5 hours to refresh the RAM.

Fine. Just don't call it the best browser in the world and have irritating banners slagging off all others.

No need for a reboot, just kill the firefox.exe process to free up the RAM when you notice things becoming sluggish

What other browser besides IE will do the job?

Opera is quite highly recommended.

I would strongly suggest you diagnose what is causing this, because I am almost 100% certain it is not Firefox. If you are unable to locate the fault it is going to affect anything else that you use as well.

Failing all of that, when last did you do a reformat and re-install of your Windows System? Defrag? maybe it is time for a clean-up?
