Firefox turns 4, targets mobile

Assault

Keep on the assault I can't wait to load it on my walkman 850i

This could be quite interesting. Opera Mini 4 is excellent, but it's nice to see Mozilla enter the mobile market.

Chrome on the Google G1 is awesome, it would take a lot to beat right now.

i would love to see a comparison between FF opera

It introduced tabbed browsing...
WRONG ! Opera did that in the 90's.

Opera also comes packed with a lot of built in features like mouse gestures and torrent downloads that are only available on FireFox with extensions. Plus FireFox is a few MB bigger than Opera.

FireFox is good, but it is nowhere near as innovative and slick as Opera.

As much as I like Opera mini 4 there are still plenty of times I prefer to use Opera mini 3. Depending on the site and what I'm doing of course.

It's gonna take a lot to get me to switch from opera. Considering I like my stuff just working out the box Fenec might not be for me.

Firefox whips the lamas ass...oh wait thats winamp...no firefox is scweet..cant wait for the symbian release...will be one of the first to try it. opera dissapointed me, or the s60v3 one, had the mini whatever version prior to this on my old nokia e50, and that worked way better than the .sis version is working on my e51. So until this comes out I'll stick with my ol built in browser not that bad..

All of these are great! As long as it is not MSIE!! :D

I'm gonna install all of them!

What's the difference between Opera Mini and Opera Mobile?

not sure, but know that on symbian phones there are two distinct versions, one a java application the other a symbian application..think the java one is mini, cause its file size is way smaller? not sure as I said

One thing I want to know is if mobile firefox will also compress the web pages you view on a remote server before sending them to your phone like opera mini does.

Mini - Java application, it's free, renders pages fast, but is not secure (since all content is compressed and sent via their Opera Mini proxy server to you). Don't use it to access secure sites.

Mobile - Better to access internet without restrictions, full featured web browser on your phone. All rendering is done on the phone so you can access interactive services as well.
