You can tweak most of those settings quite easily in Opera anyway. I find the biggest "speed" increase comes from lowering the redraw or loading times. Multiple server requests didn't make much difference for me either after you up then to about 10. Just lower it from 30 imo.

These are not new tweaks and many people have said that maxing out these options might be good for you but not the server that serves the page to you so set it a low value but that you can still see a speed difference.

i would also think that sites by now have catered for FF users who set that one setting to 1000 or something.

You're free to do as you please I'm sure people won't come knocking at your door to break your legs because you send 30 HTTP requests instead of 4

Is this 4 to the same site or to 4 random sites?
