Proasm, I spent the whole of yesterday trying different Rwin and MTU settings with not much joy. I refer you to this site, of which there are many http://www.tiscali.co.uk/help/broadband/connectionoptimisationii.html
Obviously the MTU and Rwin and all the other settings play an important part in getting the maximum speed.
If i run software to determine the ideal MTU setting, it comes up with 1500, but that does not work and some sites hang. I find that 1430 gives the best results, but I could be wrong.
I see that the software provided by mywireless sets the rwin to 100000 when logging on.
Now I have a few questions:
1. Are the changes one makes to the registry using Drtcp being over ridden by the mywireless software?
2. Does mysignal software (your software) also override the registry settings.
3. Does anyone at mywireless know what the optimal settings should be for the various operating systems. Or should this question be directed to IPwireless.
4. Or am I wasting my time[

Thanks
