Get a grip.

Find a ward with only townships and see how many votes the DA got.

Here's one -

SOPHAKAMA PRIMARY SCHOOL - DU NOON

DA votes - 76.

Not so hard né.

Diepsloot got over 1000 DA votes, wonder what Alexandra got...

What is with the coloured Northern Cape not swinging to the DA?

Yeah I will never understand why the ANC has such a hold on the Northern Cape. However, I did read an article that basically the only important municipality in the NC is the Sol Plaatjie municipality - sort of like one can't win the Western Cape without winning Cape Town. In this municipality, the votes are overwhelming ANC.

There is a theory that if you win the city, you win the country side, sort of like a bomb going off effect. That is why the ANC is dam scared of losing Pretoria (highly influential Sepedi and Afrikaans area) and East London (highly influential in the EC).

I'm guessing Kimberley has the same effect on the Northern Cape.

If I were the ANC I would be dam scared, given that they are down to under 60 in Gauteng. Whoever wins Gauteng will ultimately govern SA.

Fwck it anc has already started boasting about winning the next month is going to be painful watching these arrogant idiots going on and on

Very please how the DA has performed this election. It's a large improvement since 2009, and they secured 10% more votes in the Western Cape.
