Hi there ppl well the fishbone line bonder are in the marker for some time know are there any ppl out there that use some of these to get faster speeds? and whats it like is it money well spend or not?

Jeesh your grammar is non-existent...

The line bonder is definitely not worth it for personal use. You can rather utilize multiple ADSL lines with a simple load balancer, since you can then use the lines/accounts with any ISP. That way you can also get double the download speed with 2 ADSL lines if you download in multiple segments.
I'd guess that its worth it to use the line bonder if you want a single public IP address OR want to be able to download at like twice the speed of a single ADSL line without having to download in multiple segments.

You'd have to get replies from other people that's got experience & proper knowledge of Fishbone to form a decent opinion, since I've never used their services...

i have an Biguard billion router that does load balance but i want to combine the 2 account to make it faster on downloading and web browsing coz the loud balancer not that effective.

Sorry for my spelling mistakes most the ppl don't understand Afrikaans...

Killer - also heard a lot about this fishbone, but don't know anyone who actually uses it. Will keep my ear on the ground and let you know if it is fail.

Some info they are crazy...

In connection with the above VSR, your static will work on the Fishbone however the fishbone requires a minimum of 10GIG with the Fishbone device.

depending on line quality, Telkom and your ISP - used in UK but local clients don't seem to be interested, as most complain about how pricey a 384 dsl line is...

Sup guys,

I'm an engineer at Vox. Been working with them since the first one that came out so if anyone has some technical questions about them I'm your man!

LoL dude, we have more than 200 of these out in the field already after not even a year after it's launch.

Since you're already using it intensively, could you perhaps give more information regarding your experience with Fishbone?

We'll as I've said, I am an engineer so I install them, configure them and troubleshoot them.

If you are asking about how well they work- damn amazingly!

Given that your ADSL lines are of good quality, there no stopping the amazing power of the Fishbone! It's awesome and it works beautifully!

I don't get to use it as often as I'd like, but we have hundreds of happy Fishbone customers.

does the vf-1200 do the bonding of the 2 lines or is it done at your office throw and VPN? coz i have read the the vf-1200 also have 2 or 4 wan port and it does not say anything of line bonding only laud balancing.

Ok, here's how the whole thing works. Each fishbone breaks out from the customer site using its bonded (not load-balanced) lines. It then connect to the concentrator at our JHB office where the user account and device credentials are authenticated.

So the lines are bonded on the actual device. And just to stress this, it is not a load balancer. Two 4mb lines = 8mb connection, Three 4 mb ADSL lines = 12mb connection etc.

The V-1200 supports up to 4 bonded lines. The V-1700 support up to 32 bonded lines, however a switch is used in conjunction with the modems. And then there's another model, the V-2200 but we've never installed one of those since its unnecessary at the time since the most lines we've bonded so far is 15.

Hope that answers your question!

why cant i just buy the v-1200 and install it myself without using your cap? i have 2 4mb static account that i just want to bond 2 get 8mbs, but know i have to pay like R1800 for 10gigs of vox cap that i veel are not necessary coz i have uncapped accounts.
