Check the schedule Nivek provided us.

it's the same as the history channel. 3 REPEATS EVERY DAY!!. and only 2 program that look remotely English.

drop all the channels and all the subscriptions and give us pay per view. You only pay when you watch.

Even better, let us choose when to watch it.

go www.freetv.co.nz

realy interesting to see there are chanels here that are free to view, where dstv charges you to view them.

oh and there is no tv license fees here, and there is only 4.5mil potetial tv viewers here, comapred to 30 odd mil in rsa (that excludes all the stolen tv's), i just wonder how the nz broadcasters make their buck in nz ???

Now to wait for the letter from MultiChoice stating another R40 subscription increase for 2008 "becoz we added 5 lekke channels"

Another gospel channel too? Seems like DStv consists of Supersport and Gospel Channels...

“The DStv bouquet has been growing to adapt to changing and growing customer needs and today the premium bouquet has more than 75 channels, 40 audio and 28 radio channelsm.”

WTF!
Does choiceless go out of its way searching for the cheapest cr@p to unload onto us, and think we too stupid to realise it!

For the filthy price they charge, we want quality - not quantity for heavans sake!

sigh - scifi would have drawn me back.

Sorry DSTV - no money from me.

Me to.
I would have also turned mine back on.
They haven't had a cent from me since they removed the Sci-Fi channel.

I told them to cann my subs out of anger and protest at the time, with every intention of switching back on at some point - and then i found out it wasn't so bad to be without and didn't even miss it, so never did.

I see they found that happy medium between quality and quantity called neither.

Can anyone remind me why I give them money each month when this is what I get in return?

I ask myself the same question every month. Sunk costs, in the form of dish and decoder, prevent most of us from just junking the service altogether.

Funny that it's called MultiCHOICE, because you don't seem like you have any choice of channels at all. Don't have DSTV, never will..

Nope, hasn't swung it for me either - still not going to rush out and buy a tv... watch dvds on a PC, get friends in the UK to record me some interesting stuff and stick a few hours onto dvd once in a while.

Where do people find the time to watch several hours of tv each night?

How much does a baby sitter service cost ? The cartoon channels alone cover my costs.

I like my DSTV. Then again if i had unlimited cheap bandwidth it would be another story.

So you're saying that in lieu of a baby-sitter you leave your kids at home supervised only by a tv set?

And I tend to do what my parents did (and I presume their parents before them) - the ultimate unpaid baby sitter (with supervision included as well as the cartoon network ;)) grandparents. :D

 that came out wrong didnt it......

When im busy with work at home, dstv is the baby sitter. Also if i didnt have dstv i would have to cart a boot load of toys around every 2 weeks. My son loves his cartoons and disney channel, so to me its worth it just for that.

My kid would spend 24/7 in front of it too :)
