Five times your ADSL cap

It's perverse that all these type of unlimited/special offerings are still based on 512kbps speed. The world has moved on to talk of double digit Mbps speeds. Yet here to even think of accessing the caps the rest of the world experience, you are crippled to crawling speed.

Lemme guess, bandwidth provided by a VPN with Internot Slowlutions as the backbone. I'll pass thanks.

I dont think it is the case for this one. More details should follow when it is launched.

This is how ADSL is in Australia as well ... my sister has internet where you have peak and off-peak ... and you can use 15GB on peak and 25GB Off peak or something like that. Times are also similar.

I think it's a good opition for heavy downloaders, but if it's shaped to death or very limited speed I dont see the point.

Im looking forward to it, but i can see a "+R100 a month to use this service".

At last. I have been wondering about this for a while. I am for it. It is better than most of the other stuff out there...

YES!!! Another step closer to bandwidth freedom.

It won't be long before bandwidth will become just another commodity, like water and lights HERE IN SA.

wow....
From 1am - 7am... that means I only have about 6 hours to dl as much as I can...? and teh servers I DL from have dynamic links that change every 4 hours, so queing is not going to help...
I'll pass

I welcome this from Cybersmart, but give us pricing & is this 15GB per day or in total for the whole month from 1am-7am??

I don't mind if p2p is shaped, as long as I can get all my content fast (300-420KB/s) I will be happy.

Sorry I will not sign up for any Cybersmart service ever due to their anti-competitive, verging on extortion Terms and Conditions:

Summary of Restrictions/Limitations
-----------------------------------
3. You may only use the account at one location - you may not use the same account at your home and at your office or at your friend's premises, but you may connect as many computers as you wish at your own premises.

4. You can only use one account at the same location- if we detect multiple accounts connecting from the same place, all subsequent accounts will be treated as top ups and you will be charged the top up rate.

5. You are required to use the @cybersmart.co.za email address that comes free with your ADSL account

7. If you subscribe to our ADSL service, you are required to cancel any other ADSL service you may have with any other ISP.

Water and lights? Yeah, we have water. But lights? What lights? All I see is candlepower ;)

woah nelly!

ok, skip then...

I would simply keep my Telkom line (I have a Telkom package where I pay hardly anything for my adsl line) and get them as another ISP.

Currently ISPs are engaged in what seems to be "internet war 3". Only problem is, none of them are actually dropping the prices that everyone are interested in.

Where is their 15 gig for 499 that is mentioned in the article, i cant seem to see it on their website?
