Five times your ADSL cap

Interesting, at least there are still people coming up with innovative solutions, in this very limited world of South African Broadband...

Ill give kudos to anyone who can think outside of the box and design a product which is tailor made for the Local market...

Sorry I will not sign up for any Cybersmart service ever due to their anti-competitive, verging on extortion Terms and Conditions:

Summary of Restrictions/Limitations
-----------------------------------
3. You may only use the account at one location - you may not use the same account at your home and at your office or at your friend's premises, but you may connect as many computers as you wish at your own premises.

4. You can only use one account at the same location- if we detect multiple accounts connecting from the same place, all subsequent accounts will be treated as top ups and you will be charged the top up rate.

5. You are required to use the @cybersmart.co.za email address that comes free with your ADSL account

7. If you subscribe to our ADSL service, you are required to cancel any other ADSL service you may have with any other ISP.

Wow, these guys must have taken a page out of Hitler's diary!

Thanks for warning us.

I will spread the word.

Cybersmart can keep their stuff. Seriously.

While the product offerings are good, demanding that I cease to do business with anyone else if I do business with them is pathetic.

Good on Cybersmart for doing something interesting in the midst of the terrible local market that is messed because of Ivy and her pet telco.

I agree that this is perverse in light of what is happening in the rest of the world I like to compare my country with in terms of where we should be...

But kudos to Cybersmart for the product.

You can kiss my ass!

Can someone say "Russian Mafia" member? haha.

Not a chance. I'll pass, thank you.

The cybersmart term and conditions are easy to avoid.

Just register the other DSL services under another person, brother, sister, aunt... whoever. The cybersmart says you, as in the cybersmart account holder. If someone else has another account (under their name) to the same house, cybersmart can do jack all.

A product like this is long overdue. Just a pity it comes from Cybershark...

ADSL service provider Cybersmart is close to launching a new product called Nightrider, a service which will allow ADSL subscribers five times the typical bandwidth allowance when used between 1am and 7am.
