Flight Simulator 2020

You're not alone. A lot of people were "fooled" by this, but yes, they rolled out the download so the servers wouldn't get hugged to death on the 27th.

Yeah on page 15 I posted a pic of my approach with into King Shaka intl in "loadshedding" mode. :D

I'm REALLY looking forward to the Xbox community joining us on flight sim. I've spent so much time on this already and loving every minute of it.

I'll leave you guys with this:

Every new flight simmer immediately jumps into the biggest boeing they can find ... but the longer they play, the more they "downgrade" to single engine bush planes.

I'm currently spending most of my time in the Spitfire and the Goose, but always enjoy IFR flying on the Airbus A320:

I fly mostly on the Cessna Citation CJ4. Love this plane

I dig that plane and watch Citation Max's Youtube channel quite often.
The avionics in their for the most part seem much more user friendlier than others.

I hope to see a 3rd party or perhaps MS getting a Sling 4 TSi into the game.
That's my personal pipe dream GA plane. So I'd actually really want to get some time in it on the sim at least.

27th can't come soon enough, feel like a kid that's counting down sleeps :p :D

Microsoft Flight Simulator is getting some awesome peripherals - Input

Multiple (pricey) controls were announced ahead of the popular piloting simulation's release on Xbox Seriex X / S.

The latest iteration of Microsoft Flight Simulator has amassed a pretty sizable and dedicated fan base since it was released for PC last year — but, really, can you blame anyone’s obsession when a game is so detail-oriented that it includes real-time world events like giant, stuck ships and weather patterns in addition to its incredibly accurate aircraft?

Next week things are about to ramp up to an entirely new level (altitude?) following the rollout of Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox Series X and S consoles: a new line of licensed partner peripherals to make your experience even more immersive.

External add-ons range from flight control systems to yoke-handle steering attachments and new mechanical gaming keyboards.

Check out some of the upcoming options below... and start saving up now, because the accessories ain’t cheap.

Since the news broke about the Turtle Beach gear, I've been Jones'ing on it real hard!

Been watching a few YouTube videos of comparisons and general gameplay with the X & S Series and it's getting me really excited.

I never realized that it would be compatible with mouse and keyboard too.
So I'll weigh up how I feel about the xbox controller initially.

Got some other expenses lined up before I can get a yoke into my gear, let alone the backlog of orders initially with the the Turtle Beach stuff anyway.

A bunch of PC players actually play the game using an Xbox controller.

I'm sure they've got the menus and things sorted out for it.

Very excited... I too launched the game the second the download was over. Alas, no go yet.

Never used mouse and keyboard on xbox at all. Would be pretty cool if you could use controller and mouse, or controller and keyboard in conjunction for some operations.

I am. Xbox controller is calibrated very well. Prefer the Xbox controller to a joystick

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 system requirements: Can my PC run it?

Get prepared for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with our guide to PC and internet requirements.

Microsoft Flight Simulator has returned on a ground-breaking scale, leveraging real-world mapping data to construct a digital replica of the globe.

The wild undertaking comes from Microsoft and partner Asobo Studio, with new real-time weather systems, improved aerodynamics, and other highly-detailed refinements, delivering its most authentic simulation yet.

Before diving into Microsoft Flight Simulator, here are the PC requirements, suggested internet speeds, and recommended hardware to get you airborne.

I've used controllers for flight sims on pc forever, keyboard and mouse for navigating menu's and commands I don't have space for on the controller.
x360ce makes it super easy with games that have xbox controller support by default, no need to do any setup or calibrations in game.

Thanks for, will remain a pipe dream. I need stronger CPU and GPU. Damn.

What are your specs?

These are mine and even though I run the terrain gfx on low, the plane and cockpit and overall experience is still top notch. I sometimes even stream and it works just fine:

* Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz
* 32,0 GB
* 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
* GTX 960 GPU

Pay no attention to the 32GB ram...the most important thing for the game is running it off an SSD...AAAAND they're releasing a major patch on the 27th that'll increase performance by around 60%. Theyre focussing on better CPU core utilization.

I use FSX to practice ILS and VOR/DME approaches, MS flight simulator programs are actually quite decent with it. I need to do a DME Arc one of these days :D

Is PMDG still issuing aircraft for FS2020? The extra technicalities from their models are good fun.

Saying that though, the joy of hand flying small planes is still right up there!
