FNB app might skip Windows Phone 7

Well FNB don't seem concerned with BlackBerry OS 7.1 either. :( I used to have the FNB app available on my BlackBerry when I used OS 6 on my 9810. But now it is not supported on my current 9860 using 7.1. And before anyone says anything, FNB syas in the article that they follow market trends. I think there are enough BlackBerry devices running 7.1 in SA for them to do somethinga bout it.

Wonder if they are waiting for BB10? :confused:

If you prefer to use crappy devices like Blackberry or Nokia you should not complain.

While Blackberry IS crap, you're wrong about not complaining. FNB support other Blackberries, including OS7.0. Including support for OS7.1 shouldn't be too hard. Also, Blackberry has the largest market share of smartphones in South Africa. There are probably more OS7.1 phones than Android Jellybean phones in the market.
 
Not a smart move on FNB's side. I'm not a WP fan but given the uptake noted in this forum alone, they should consider developing the app.
 
This is what worries me about WP8's chances. Developers have limited resources, and their best work has to go where the proven money is. WP7 in my usage is clearly behind on apps - now where's the evidence that WP8 will change that situation?
 
Am I using this App wrong? Can I view transaction history and statement on my accounts? This app seems just to limited and I never use it. Standard Bank App is much better imo

Not to flame you or your comment; the biggest irony for me when BB users come with comments on how secure BB mail and things like BBM is, is that most of them carry their ATM PIN/Internet Banking Cridentials/BBM PIN/etc with them written in a diary or piece of scrap paper.
 
You guys all say BB is the most used smart phone...

Well most of it's users are dumb and don't know how to operate it fully, so why support BB 7.1, when most of the DUMB users won't even know how to update it to 7.0, never mind 7.1.

I can view transaction history on all my accounts (Android). I think I've always been able to.

I can view transaction history and statements for all my accounts. Fire up the app, tap Login, put in your password and voila, the world of mobile banking will be at your fingertips.......
 
FNB seems to doing so well. I wonder how much has the mobile app(s) assisted in enhancing the brand?
 
Uhmm why would you really need an app when you can use the mobile website, this is not a train smash.
