Hi guys,

I have been using the FNB Connect soft phone on my Galaxy S 2 for the past few months, but I find that the call quality varies quite a bit. What I especially hate is that the calls seem to break up and stutter. If I switch to using the native Android SIP support or one of the soft phones, will it increase the quality of the calls?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Choppy audio is caused by packet-loss, in short this is a product of bandwidth shortage. i assume you are using 3g? Do you get full 3g connectivity or perhaps GPRS in the area you use the phone most?

I would suggest, swapping a friends SIM and push a test call making sure the provider has a link speed above GPRS. Also make sure you don't have any background app's running that are bandwidth heavy and/or updating while you are on a call.

Hope this helps.
